Louis XIV period fireplace in Rance marble. It features a simple ornamentation at the center and rosettes at the heads. The curved jambs extend up to the shelf, and the crosspiece rests on the inner molding of the frame. This design is specific to certain fireplaces from the early 18th century. The mantel is molded with a crow’s beak edge.
